Summer Glau is an American actress known for her performance in the role of River Tam in the critically popular TV show Firefly and as Cameron in the television series Terminator. Sarah Connor Chronicles. She was the youngest of three children born to Marcela and Abraham Quintanilla. Selena's musical career began at the age of eight old. She joined the father-led band. The band was composed of Selena along with her elder siblings Abraham junior who played the base guitar and Sister Suzette who played the drums and Selena was the vocalist of the band. Selena Y Los Dino band was a regular at bars, wedding fairs, restaurants with her older siblings and brothers. Selena didn't have a great growing up as the group required lots of time. But their father Abraham wanted to motivate the band and eventually they were passionate musicians. Abraham senior also played with The Los Dinos original band. Selena Y Los Dinos officially began in 1981. The band is the enterprise of the Quintanillas as their main source to earnings. Quintanillas persevered regardless of initial financial difficulties to become an extremely popular group. Selena Y Los Dinos, an act that became popular throughout the West by the end of the 1980s was the outcome of their persistence. In 1986 the band got their first taste of fame after Selena won awards for Female Singer of the Year and Performer of the Year during the Tejano music awards. From that point on Selena Y Los Dinos were one of the most successful winners each year and earned popularity and recognition. The group appeared in many shows in Spanish, including El Show De Johnny Canales, Siempre En Domingo and Sabado Gigante.
